  • You must already hold a university or equivalent degree to apply
  • Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP)
  • Detective route
  • Obtain a fully funded, paid and supported Diploma in Professional Policing degree in your first two years
  • Must have Level 6 Degree
  • Start with a salary of £29,907
  • Earn up to £48,231 within seven years of joining
  • You’ll need empathy, common-sense and compassion as well as a desire to make a difference. 
  • You’ll be a paid officer from day one, working alongside experienced officers.

  • Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP)
  • Obtain a fully funded, paid and supported Diploma in Professional Policing degree in your first two years
  • Must have Level 6 Degree
  • Start with a salary of £29,907
  • Earn up to £48,231 within seven years of joining
  • You’ll need empathy, common-sense and compassion as well as a desire to make a difference. 
  • You’ll be a paid officer from day one, working alongside experienced officers.

  • Professional Policing Degree (PPD) Programme
  • Must have Professional Policing Degree
  • 2 year probation period
  • Start with a salary of £29,907
  • Earn up to £48,231 within seven years of joining

  • Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) Programme
  • Obtain a fully funded, paid and supported Professional Policing degree in your first three years
  • Must have Level 2 in English & Maths
  • Must have Level 3, 18 months service or complete equivalent test
  • Start with a salary of £29,907
  • Earn up to £48,231 within seven years of joining

Who you will study with

We are working in partnership with The University of South Wales to deliver vocational workplace training that will enable you to be become a fully qualified Police Officer while actively supporting your community.
