Meet some of our Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs)

Our PCSOs come from all walks of life and backgrounds. Our case studies below are at varying stages of their career within the police.

PCSO Sadie Gould - Weymouth & Portland

I first joined Dorset Police aged 17 as a modern apprentice. I then worked as a contact and dispatch officer in the Force Command Centre before becoming a police community support officer (PCSO) in 2018. As a PSCO, I really enjoy investigating incidents, where I am often tasked to complete CCTV and house-to-house enquiries before safeguarding and providing reassurance to victims. I also enjoy visiting the local schools and colleges in my area, as I strive to build positive relationships with young people. One of the highlights of my career was securing a five-year civil order against a man who committed offences against women and girls, ensuring that if he were to offend again, he would be arrested. I also ensured that the victims were effectively safeguarded. My aim is to continue working within Dorset Police with a view to one day becoming a police constable.
